A FLAT IVY ANTENNA CAMOUFLES THE EXTERIOR FACADE OF THE BUILDING. IT INTERCEPTS THE HIGH FREQUENCY WAVES FROM THE SKY OR FROM FAR SHORES. THIS DATA, APPLIED IN REAL TIME TO A GRAPHICAL CALENDAR, IS TRANSLATED DAY TO DAY IN A SERIES OF ORIGINAL SKETCHES. THIS DRAWING MACHINE, LISTENING TO A WORLD THAT IT PIRATES AND TRANSFORMS, GIVES TO READ THE EPHEMERAL WAVES THAT CROSS US.
By using software defined radio (SDR) and a massive fractal golden plated antenna, the system designed by Motion Wagram acquires long wavelength signals from the city. The signals are processed in order to reveal its evolution and artefacts. The graphical representation on a display aims to emphasize the uniqueness of the signals. It is permanently exhibited at the “drawing hotel”, 17th Richelieu street – Paris.
